Muse by David Teitsma

My attempt to understand and be understood.

Several of the Sea to Sea cyclists from this summer got together for a ‘reunion’ ride in mid September. We met at Claire and Hank’s home and rode down and around Gun Lake.

It was great to see everyone and to get our riding again. During the day, it felt like just another day of the tour.

I’ve felt stronger and stronger each week that I’ve been back. Early in the day Mark and I sped up and went ahead. We both wanted to go faster. It felt great. On the tour, I tried to not spring as it could really tire you out for the next day, but now I don’t have to worry about that.

We stopped for morning coffee and donuts (below).

Afterwards, we had a pot luck where we could tell stories about this last summer, while hearing about other updates with people. It was fun to hear so many stories about things I didn’t even know happened this summer!
