I've been really itching to get outside. I'm anxious for spring, but I love being outdoors in the winter. No bugs, its easy to control your temperature, and its very pretty.

So, I spent several hours hiking around Sessions Lake at Ionia Recreational Area. Over the three miles, I trudged through deep wet snow. Not only was the ground really wet (my boots stayed dry for the first coupld of hours) but it was raining too. However, I layered my clothing properly and made sure to not get sweaty or wet as that's the most dangerous thing of hiking in the snow. I was the only person out there except for a group of men ice fishing on the lake.
