One of my smaller goals that I have laid out recently for myself is to learn to identify trees. I've felt like a idiot at times as I don't even know what some common trees are.
This last week while on vacation, I spent some time with my handy dichotomous tree guide identifying trees. This was really fun as I learned lots of trees quickly.
But I have other reasons for this goal. I also want to learn to identify trees as I love observing things as seeing the beauty in their harmonious intricacies. By knowing more about trees, I will increasingly be able to enjoy the outdoors more. Plus its great just slowing down and taking your time looking for the minute difference between maples or beeches.
