What a fun weekend with friends hiking, wine tasting, enjoying a fire on the beach and just spending time together. Plus, where better to do it then the Leelanau Peninsula? It was colder and was on the verge of raining the whole weekend, but only sprinkled.
I thought the colors would be done, but they were still bright and beautiful!
This is everyone that came on Pyramid Point, part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
We didn’t run out of food but David insisted on trying his camera.
Sunday Morning we had a huge brunch. Surprisingly we ate almost all of it. The sun really came out to shine.
We stayed at a beautiful cottage on Lake Leelanau. I was ecstatic about staying along the lake as this is the lake that I’ve gone to every year of my life for at least a week except for 2005 and this year. So, it was a homecoming of sorts.
It didn’t rain full blast, except for the torrential downpour including hail on the trip home. This didn’t make it fun for driving.
